North Yorkshire Women and Girls Cricket Development Group supports and co-ordinates the development of cricket for women and girls across North Yorkshire.
We meet approximately once a month with the aim to give all players and non-players the opportunity to achieve their potential within cricket.
Our mission statement is to ensure the continuation of the development group and foster development of cricket for women and girls within the area. We aim to ensure that players and teams can compete at the highest level. We work closely with the Yorkshire Cricket Board (YCB), local authorities, clubs, schools, colleges, and individuals interested in the development of women’s and girl’s cricket. Amongst our other aims, we encourage and promote participation in cricket as players, officials, coaches and administrators at all levels. Irrespective of age, disability, race, ethnic origin, colour creed, social status or sexual orientation.
District Cricket
The group is charged with running district cricket across the region alongside the other District CDG’s of West, South and East. We have strong links with the Yorkshire Women & Girls County setup alongside that of the Yorkshire Diamonds.
We are keen to support any existing or new project looking to support the growth of women and girls cricket and would like to hear from anyone looking for support in doing so via our contact page.
